4K Horse Operations
The horse operations for 4K Land and Cattle Company are located predominately at Richland Creek Ranch, which is centrally located between Dallas and Waco flanked by I-35E and I-35W. This division features an excellent horse facility, which includes a 15-stall barn; both indoor and outdoor roping arenas, round pen and six turn out paddocks.
4K Land and Cattle Company's Richland Creek Ranch proudly features the stallions Four K Sun O Lena by Mr. Sun O Lena, and Four K Tanquery Gin by Tanquery Gin. Both stallions have proven to sire impressive individuals well suited to ranch and arena work. Their foals consistently exhibit outstanding temperament and confirmation.
The breeding program at Richland Creek Ranch emphasizes strong ranch horse bloodlines. 4K broodmares include daughters and granddaughters of Peppy San Badger, Jackie Bee, Doc O'Lena, Drifts Chip, Gay Bar King and Colonel Freckles.
Horses are still used in the daily maintenance of 4K cattle operations, as well as competitive team roping. These cattle operations on all properties compliment the efforts by the ranch to raise and train quality ranch horses.
Yearling's and two year olds feature Four K Sun O Lena and Four K Tanquery Gin sires as well as the Blue Valentine and Playin In Style bloodlines, among others.
